  • What Is a Fiduciary? Is Correct Capital a Fiduciary?

A fiduciary financial advisor is a type of financial advisor who is legally and ethically bound to act in the best interests of their clients and hold clients’ interests above their own. Fiduciaries have a “duty of care” to act with diligence and skill, as well as a “duty of loyalty” to try to avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any that arise.

Some financial advisors are only bound to a “suitability standard,” which means their recommendations have to be suitable for your goals, but not necessarily the best decision to help you reach your goals.

As a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals, Correct Capital is bound by a fiduciary duty to all of our clients.

  • What’s Your Fee Structure?

Correct Capital is a “fee-based” financial advisory firm. The majority of the money we make comes from fees paid to us by clients, not from product sales. Our traditional fee structure is a percentage of your assets under management (AUM).

In selected scenarios where insurance or annuity products are suitable, we may earn commissions off of financial products we recommend, however we are still bound by our fiduciary duty to disclose that information to you and manage your account in your best interest.

  • Who Will I Be Working With?

Our team of advisors and portfolio managers has over 80 years of combined experience in wealth management and retirement planning, and we believe in the unique value each of them brings to our clients.

Typically, you’ll have one advisor or portfolio manager who is your point of contact. At the same time we take a “team” approach to managing our clients’ wealth, which allows our entire advisory team to be familiar with your finances and goals.

  • What Is Your Investment Philosophy?

We help our clients reach their goals by aligning your portfolio with those goals. We do this through goal identification, understanding the time frame, considering your risk tolerance and liquidity needs, and then prioritizing the goals. Our aim is that it allows you to focus on the things you can influence, like how much you are saving towards your goals.

Secondly, we manage your investments based on your goals and the inevitable changes to those goals as you move through your journey. During these times, we provide guidance for your family and assist with necessary changes while also considering your financial plan and tax planning strategies.

Lastly, we help our clients build resilience during their investment journey. This is accomplished by providing education regarding financial and economic markets and aligning with your priorities as they change.

Our philosophy puts you first and allows you to embrace the market's imperfections so you may concentrate on reaching your goals.
